Purpose
Citizen Involvement is the Key to Community Safety
The Edmonds Police Foundation was created in 1996 as a community-based organization to assist the Edmonds Police Department through education, fundraising, and citizen involvement. Our goal is to support those who protect us and make Edmonds a better and safer place to live with programs designed to enhance public safety using community partnerships and citizen outreach.
About Us
Public Safety
Modern public safety demands require that police departments be better trained, better equipped, and more in touch with the specific needs of their communities than ever before. While these requirements have increased with concerns such as terrorism and school violence, tax dollars only provide the basic necessities. The Edmonds Police Foundation is dedicated to providing our police force with the most modern equipment, technology and training.
Citizen Outreach
The Edmonds Police Foundation seeks to create a culture of opportunities for community members to enhance their awareness of public safety and crime prevention issues. This is done with outreach programs, public events and community partnerships.
Community Partnerships
Partnership between the police and the community means meeting the police before something bad happens. Our goals include fostering positive collaboration among the police, the community, and our children.
Meet The Board Of Directors
Gail Welfringer, President
Gail lives and works in Edmonds. She is passionate about giving back to her local community and providing support for the Edmonds Police Department. Whether that is through working closely with the Chief of Police to organize community events that bridge the gap between our Edmonds Police Officers and the citizens they serve or fundraising to provide for their training and equipment needs, Gail is a wonderful asset to the EPF.
Mark Marsh, Vice President
Mark is a beloved member of our community and we feel so fortunate to have him serve on our EPF board of directors. Having retired as a Edmonds Police Sargent with 35 years of dedicated service makes him a wealth of knowledge to our board of directors. He is proud to be able to serve those in that respected uniform today and is passionate about providing for the needs of our local Edmonds police department.
Board of Directors
Kimberly MacArthur, Treasurer
Kimberly loves numbers! She is a local Edmonds business manger and feels strongly about giving back to the community she loves and works in. She is passionate about making sure everything is always on track and works hard to help keep our overhead low, so that the funds that are donated go directly to our Edmonds officers needs. We are so thankful to have Kimberly serve on our board of directors.

Q & A
Question
Answer
Who is the Edmonds Police Foundation?
We are a Board of Directors appointed to serve & fundraise for the Edmonds Police Department. Our main focus is citizen involvement and fundraising. Our goal is to Support Those Who Protect Us and help make Edmonds a better and safer place to live and work through programs designed to enhance public safety.
Is My Donation Tax Deductible? Are You A 501(c)(3)?
Yes! Absolutely, yes. The EPF is a 501(c)(3) corporation and your donation is tax deductible. We are the only organization that has the ability to fundraise for the Edmonds Police Department. Your donations go directly to funding their immediate needs, as our overhead is less than 5%.
How Can I Get Involved?
We are so glad you asked! There are three ways… 1. Donate. All these incredible projects wouldn’t be possible without donations from generous citizens like yourself & sponsorships from local businesses. We can’t thank you enough! 2. Participate in our events! Not only are they fun, but all the proceeds go directly back to funding the needs of our local heroes at the Edmonds Police Station. 3. Volunteer- No matter the age, we are always looking for volunteers to help at our events!
